Dear AJ

if Mr Talat is proposing anything other than " a bi-zonal, bi-communal federation " he is wasting the UN's time and will simply prolong the isolation of things 'TRNC'..

I can appreciate he has to carry as many votes as possible, but no matter who represents TCs ( or GCs ) that is the only workable deal in town

This status quo might suit you.. but does it help the average TC ?

Isn't it funny Dave, almost every article that's been published lately, providing statements from various ministers, hints at pessimism on the talks.

Mark

' This status quo might suit you.. but does it help the average TC ?'

Nothing 'suits me' because I cannot control major events in my life so they happen and I adapt. Here is a fact of life for you Mark: The Turkish Cypriot people just want to get on with their lives but unfortunately the Greek Cypriots do not want them to. If you can convince me that this statement is not true (and if you are allowed back into the TRNC) then the first beer is on me but not in the 'mambo' sense.

What the Turkish Cypriots really do need to do now is start to make business with other countries such as Israel, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, perhaps Libya. Maybe too much time has been wasted playing with the hands of the EU.

Dear AJ,

re msg 4

You know very well what I meant.. 'TRNC' / TR remainng outside the EU !

'The Turkish Cypriot people just want to get on with their lives but unfortunately the Greek Cypriots do not want them to.'

Not exactly true.. the GCs want to be able to live, and work throughout the island like a TC can do !

" If you can convince me that this statement is not true (and if you are allowed back into the TRNC) then the first beer is on me but not in the 'mambo' sense. "

;)

BTW AJ.. reminding me of 'not responding' is ironic.. during my 'little brea'k you have failed to address at least two questions on 'TRNC' VO and were directly reminded of one of them by Gooligan ! ... That is nearly a month ago.. You know VERY well that most members complain I respond too much ... [ 'GC propaganda' ))))) (Hans) ]

re msg 7 Hans

Already addressed in the last section of my msg 10 ! ;) ... Seven years on you are still contending that my views - that aren't welcomed by GC boards, either- viz; bi-zonal ,federated solution ( similar to Annan ) are 'biased .. ))))))
