Hi to you all, this is my first posting after being an avid reader of the forum which is very helpful.

Can someone clarify the details of getting permission to sell a property without an estate agent. I believe that you can do a private sale but need to apply for some sort of permission.

Do you need to do this before you find a buyer or when you've found one?

I am in Girne so is there an office there to go to?

Thanks in advance for any info.

Jasmina, If already own a property in Cyprus I would suggest that you contact your original Lawyer that did the purchase for you? He/She should be able to explain the process...............

hi

from what I know of private sales, you certainly don't need an estate agent, although I did hear a rumour that they were going to make you go through one eventually.

All you need do is instruct a laywer and they can prepare the contract for you no probs, and see the process through.

However, seek legal advice first obviously!

If anyone knows otherwise, please shoot me down!
