Hi there, i have an issue with the glass door.....every time it rains, we literally have a flood in the shop as we have half a millimeter gap all the way around the door. I don't know what they're called, but if you have any suggestions and know of anywhere I could get this sorted please let me know. As far I know there's some places that have this plastic stoppers around the edges of the doors, but whenever I ask where they get it from they always say they bought the shop like that. Many thanks in advance

Nefise, Is the gap on the outside or inside of the door if its outside there is a rubber strip you can buy it depends how thick your glass door is in millimeter theres different size,s you can purchase. If you hav,nt found out by now ? where you can buy the strip I could purchase this for you here in Germany as I,m Flying over on 13th (Sat) but I need to know the Size of the Glass Door. Let me know. PS. I had the same problem with my wooden door but the gap was on the inside of the door (Frame) I used Draft Strips . Chris.

RE msg 1, H&N: (...) we have half a millimeter gap (...) => HALF a MILLIMETER?! And you're complaining?! Your master-builder must be a descendant of Leonardo da Vinci! What a great guy! P.S. The solution is easy: buy about two square metres of plastic folie, open your door, put some 20 centimetres of the plastic over the top of your door on the outside and close the door - you're dry inside from that moment. (Works for us, with a wooden door that shrinks and expands faster than the Turkish Lira...).

We had the same and our friend stuck a strip of sink edging along the bottom of the door, this stopped it coming in.

Hi there, thanks guys for all your replies....I wrote the measurements wrong sorry, its not half a millimeter its half an inch! Beno12, I would be grateful if you could do us a kind favor! The gap is actually all the way around the door there is not inside or outside, the shop front is all glass and so is the door...there is a half an inch gap all the way around. The thickness of the door is also half an inch, the measurements are 1 meter across and 2.5meters down. Many thanks in advance!!!

Chris - Beno12 & Nefise H&N (& Lilli) Just before you go to buy it - Have you tried a Glazier? If they are no use see if there are any shower door suppliers as they will use sealant strip for the bottom of the bath panel too. There is a crude solution and that is to make a seal with clear silicone sealant (use cling film to protect the surfaces where you do not want it to stick).

flightholiday...I have tried various window fitters etc and a few have said that there is "none left in the country" or others have said we cannot do this because you did not get the windows fitted by us, so I'm struggling alot! Every night I have to pile a load of towels by the door so our goods won't get damaged :-( I could use cling film however I don't think it will work as its all glass all over, there is no door frame.
