| to pre purchase?.....quite often the border insurance is closed when we arrive, do any of the car rental companies offer insurance cover for the north...or any other advice would be welcome..thanks |

| I know that you can buy a year's insurance at Umbrella insurance in Famagusta and also at Costa's, on the GC side at Vyrsoulles. Both charge 80 euros for a year. |

| Is there any where in and around Girne that sells a years insurance to cover the South at 80 euros please? Its a whole lot more at the borde for a year...... |

| you can't buy the "third party" bit of the insurance for the south in the North, as no insurer in the north is an authorised insurer in the south..
It is possible to buy damage to your car cover (ie comprehensive, but without the third party bit) in the North to cover you in the south...
If you are hiring in the south - the only way is to drive to the border and buy it.... |
