Hi nikegirl, I recently attended a wedding at the St Tropez restaurant in Alsancak. I thought what a long way to go from Esentepe but it was worth it. The food was exceptional and the staff could not do enough to make the day run smoothly. The tables were decorated beautifully and there were lots of little touches that made the day a wonderful occassion, for both the bride & groom and guests. The butlers wife

Suitable venues for a wedding party are:- Efendi House - Turkish Quarter Girne Number 14 - Turkish Quarter Girne Midsummer House - Catalkoy Patina - Ozankoy Shayna Beach Club - Catalkoy Then of course there are all the big hotels............it really depends on what you are looking for and of course the month of the year. The ones above are suitable from May onwards through to October.

Went to a big wedding at Korineum last summer in the wedding garden. Fantastic evening, great food, excellent setting, they had a live band that kept everyone entertained. Sun-set in the Med followed closely by the moon rising over the Kyrenia mountains, wow! They now have apartments so you can stay over and really have a good time! Like others have said it depends what you are after but you wont find a better setting that's for sure.

Thank you so much for all your comments. I am coming back to Cyprus in March so I will have a look at all the places you have recommended and see which I like best. I think the wedding will be September 2011. Moving to the beautiful TRNC this September so will have a year to plan P.S. Loved the photo Ismet haha!

Bellapais Abbey for the wedding and for the reception you can't beat the Ada Hotel In Alsancak overlooking the sea, the sunset is to die for. They also have a kids play area and the 'corner' bedrooms with jaccuzi bath over looking the sea....thoroughly reccommended. Good luck with your 'search'.
