Hi all can some one please tell me wot the new restaurant in Kayalar is like? Its just on top of the hill as you drive towards Kayalar. I have a viller not far from there so i hop it is ok .

The House on the Edge restaurant in Kayalar is very good - we ate there the week before the official opening at lunch time. Mainly fish dishes, which suited my wife very well, we had the Large Prawns in a casserole - the sauce was so delicate it did not overpower the fish (beautiful). The owner came over to us, we chatted about where our villa was and were we originated from - I said I recognised his car with personalised number plate as I had seen it in England. It turned out we had lived in the same town for sometime - he very generously gave us two plates of starters (selection of fish) prawns, sea bass, mussels, scallops.



Location is beautiful, food was excellent and I would imagine it will be very popular in the evenings Spring/Summer. It may be a little expensive for some - excellent for that special occassion.



We go back to TRNC in April for a further 90 days and am looking forward to another fine meal.



I would like to say we have no connection with the business.

I think the full name is Fragata - the House on the Edge! We tried to book a week or so ago, no reply to the number on the sign and they didn't phone back. It is in a super location and we would very much like to go - but need an answer to the phone first. When I drove round he driveway was blocked off and I thought perhaps it wasn't open yet. Any more info much appreciated.
