Yes, yet another dog dumped up by us in Arapkoy. Seems to understand english commands, approx 2/3 years old, dark grey/silver shaggy coat, with white chest and front paws. A female wearing red collar, lovely temprament, friendly, even house trained. Has anyone LOST their pet ?. Been roaming around estate for 5/6 weeks. We already have 3 dogs, can,t afford to take on any more, would anyone be willing to give this dog a good home, we are feeding it in our garden at the moment but don.t want to have to take it to KAR. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 05338406978.

Kev has just said that this is the dog that turned up in our garden 2 days before he came back to the UK, he fed it of course. So sad, he said it was a lovely dog. Obviously been dumped by a brit and it understands english and is very obedient.. I swear this dog situation will drive me away from the TRNC..

That's ok dee, was just saying to the wife today that the strays seemed to have, sorta strayed, away from Central Girne. Always save bones and scraps for them but they're pretty scarce around here at the moment. Now, if the yapping buggers that are chained up could go.......yawn. Tony

Hi Dee, yes this is the dog that turned up in your garden a few weeks ago, we were talking to kev briefly who said it looks like we have got another stray dog turned up in the village. It has since moved down to our house and taken up residence with our other 3 dogs. Lovely dog, but we really don,t need any more. As you know we could end up with a dog a day up here, wish something could be done to stop people dumping them...really sad affair. .... paul.

paul its the same for me, i get the most cared for and beautiful creatures on my door nearly every day. Since i had the problem with the strays i will not take any more, i cant not just the cost but emotions. i only wish that the people who leave them know they send them to an early death.I see the pain in these dogs and it takes a long time to gain the trust that you wont harm or leave them. My emotions are all over the place this week. after losing my blackjack to poision. i am blaming myself. Now I will never ever take another and if any one dumps one on me it will be the police that will take care of it.so think before you dump. if you leave them to fend they will be dead in no time. I know I shouldnt judge the circumstances but you took and loved, dont they deserve it back, after all they are not disposabale. kar are full to bursting. please think long and hard or kill them yourself, because you leave it to someone else, never mind the physologial problems the animal has. please

Paul, I am so sorry this poor dog has plonked himself on you and I know you have 3 dogs already and you are feeding her. I know I am going to get my head bitten off but oh well what the heck...until KAR stop putting strays back on the streets and into villages nothing will change...before anyone 'attacks' me, I know this one probably didn't come from KAR but that is a minor detail, if it had been taken there it would still have been dumped back out. As I said in an earlier post, this dog situation will force me to leave Cyprus, now I suspect a lot of posters will jump for joy at that but a lot of people feel like I do, believe me and the TRNC needs us brits...sad sad state of affairs for these poor unfortunate dogs. I just hope someone offers this lovely dog a home, give my regards to your wife x
