Rowlo do you mean the one right on the main road at the top of the hill? if you do it is really good food, a lot of the Turkish go in there and you have loads of dishes, would highly recommend...

I've been there a few times. There are interesting views of the Besparmak mountain. Apart from that it's ok but nothing special. Just the usual mezes and lamb cutlets. Oh, and the dreadful local wine.

Very good value for money, just pay for the main course and everything else including a large bottle of water included. I had kleftico last time I went there and it was excellent and log fires to keep you warm.

I would say that for a genuine Turkish restaurant it is outstanding. The quality of the meze is unsurpassed and the hot bread is to die for.

Did not try the wine - suggest you stipulate a good wine next time - but the beers were reasonably cheap and friendly atmosphere was great.

By the time the main course arrived we were so stuffed we could hardly do it justice.

One friend did have lamb cutlets that were over-cooked. She should have sent them back and they would have rectified it.

We Brits are really bad at doing this... if it's not right we moan later instead of giving them the opportunity to correct the situation.

In any case I would advise anyone ordering the lamb cutlets anywhere to let them know you don't want them well done if you like them juicy. Ask for Az Pışmış (as pish mish) = Little cooked.

However this was the only gripe out of a table of thirteen very happy diners.

So pleased you had a good night Rowlo and that you enjoyed the food. We like the place because they serve Turkish food, the salads are simply wonderful in the summer. A lot of the Turkish business men go there for their lunches, so you know its going to be good.... And most important, its not over priced....
