| i think as a general rule you should be able to prove that you have enough funds to live on, based on the min wage i just showed that i had 20k lira and that was enough but i know of people showing a lot less |

| I have heard about 5 different stories on this and I believe them all to be true depending on when you go for residency, all I can tell you is that for my wife to get residency we were advised to show that we had more than 20,000 GBP in any bank account in the world. I did this and in all honesty the documents I produced were not even glanced at. The closest I have heard to something logical is to have enough money in a turkish bank to be above the average TC annual salary wjich I believe is around 7,000 but that may have changed. Perhaps someone who has done the residency in the last couple of weeks can give better more accurate advice. Paul |

| Hi We asked our advocate recently and he contacted the office and gave me this list for EACH of us: - Copy of contact for house purchase or copy of rental agreement - Passport and copy of same - Bank Statements - showing regular income into the account ie pensions etc - Original letter from local Muhtar bearing 2 signatures and 1.30 TL revenue stamps - 9.2 revenue stamp from post office - 2 passport pictures - Married couples need to produce their marriage certificate. This inforamtion is also on the British Residents Soc Website at http://www.brstrnc.com |

| With regards to the amount in the bank, he stated that there is - no particular amount required it is based on what you produce that shows you have a regular income, some cash and somewhere to live, as stated by other members above. |
