| Not sure if anyone else noticed, but the mains water (Als/Lap area) is rather heavily chlorinated at the moment, presumably to kill bacteria in the hot weather? Did a water check yesterday, Cl was off the scale of my pool test kit, so was the alkalinity. Is well worth adding some ph- to your water supply tanks to neutralise, especially of you cook in the stuff, and more importantly clean your teeth in it. Be careful not to add too much. To reduce the Cl, leave off the lid, the light will soon reduce it, but not for too long or you will get bacterial growth. ph- will also help remove clacium from your pipes/pump/imersion/wash macine etc. Also, be careful if you water your favourite 'pot' plants with the stuff as the bleach will not do them much good. |
