Saw this on a TRNC Estate Agents website:

"The North Cyprus property market is one of the best places to invest in and the cost of living, breathtaking scenery, fantastic weather, unspoilt beaches and friendly local people have made the region an incredibly attractive area for those in search of holiday homes and those seeking to relocate permanently".

Not sure which beach that they mean ??

N/N the Beaches I visit are unspoilt . I am taking unspoilt means, quiet , no time share bothering anyone,no jet ski's , no lines of deck chairs , no cafe bars with wafting smells of chips/burgers, no music blaring .

The beaches I visit in North cyprus are wonderful .

mess 5 - The Gov't should realise that if you want to attract tourists, you need to make an effort - thay've got the sunshine for free - they need to clean the place up and jolly the place up - its expensive and dificult to get to the TRNC from the UK - don't give the tourists an excuse not to come, i say....

N/N agree with you to a degree. Yes in my opinion Gov't need to make a big effort , but no to much hey, you don't want to attract the wrong sort, lager louts . trouble makers and, females that are drunk and stumble and vomit all over the place !!! Now you would have a big problem then . Don't you agree ?

Dutch come on lighten up, we all know you can be more interesting in your posts than your messege 6 we all know that must have been a knee jerk reaction !!

RE msg 14, Paul: The company could probably never imagine that one of its employees would listen to ultra right-wing Country&Western music from a Netherlander... A leak in the firewall for sure!

1 : Thanks for the replies re: music in msg 9 playing on a PC.

2 : Re msg 17, proger1: Do you mean all my maps (ca 20.000, on huge hard discs) or only the maps of Cyprus?

OK so I should have been more accurate, thanks for rubbing it in

I was referring to the North of Cyprus to be honest, I didn't realise you had such a large range.

I have an idea about something and I think your maps would be helpful

NN one of the best ways to secure the demise of a country, and the value of your investments in it, is to constantly bad-mouth it... you are doing a wonderful job on behalf of the GCs.

Keep it up mate!

Groucho,

What about when people warned against buying property from Gary Robb or property that was owned by Greek Cypriots? Was that bad-mouthing the TRNC too? Because plenty of people tried to shut up the few who knew what they were talking about. Were you outspoken in your warnings or did you just say nothing?

Oleander,

You have moved the goal posts... This thread is NN's tongue in cheek way of letting us know, he wished he'd never invested... OK, but as he is somebody with an investment, you'd have thought he would want to see that go up in value but it seems he can't put aside his temptation to drive it down further.

He's not and I'm not defending the likes of Gary Robb, what makes you think anybody is? I would wholeheartedly advise against buying former GC homes and new or off-plan builds from some of the dubious 'builders'. No I did not say nothing.
