Does anyone know if it's possible to hire these cameras in TRNC ? A friend of mine has had five widely different quotes for well cleaning and deepening, three of which involved a guy going down to "look",whereas the other two were assessed from the surface ! !.

boysie2670, Closed circuit TV is our business. How much demand do you feel that there would be for a specialist system? Clearly you would need a high grade waterproof camera with full LED illumination Does it need b to work underwater, if so, what depth of water What would the maximum length screen to camera be required. Would a recording facility be required. Such a system would not be expensive but to whom do you think we could offer our expertise. wynyardman

John. I would say frequency of use will be limited, however, this technology as you know is not expensive at all, so money could be recouped relatively quickly. If I had a well, and it needed clearing, I would want a look first for 50-60 quid, also if I was having a well dug, and the person doing the digging said he hit rock and wanted another 1,000 quid to complete, I would also want a look, but then I would look at what came up too. I think something like this would be a 'nice to have' for the more proffesional companies here, but many wold simply go for the 'throw the yougest worker down the well' option, and hope he knows what he's talking about when he re-surfaces. It's another of thos business' that would be a sideline for someone with fingers in a few pies. Cheers Brian
