I hear about all this rain and wondered what lapta was like, I am too far away (UK) to check my balcony drains are not blocked by bird droppings blocking the drain holes thanks

I would contact your villa manager for sure, and possibly your house insurer, in that order.

the drain pipes are fine ,it was last year when I turned up in april 09 the balcony drain had blocked and the rain collected staining the lounge ceiling in two corners, but I have not been in lapta since nov09 and hear about rain and floods caused by heavy rains, but if Lapta had normal rain that will be fine however if you have had heavy rains non stop then I may have a problem hopefully not

basheer we had the worst rain "in living memory" the paper states today! it was unbelievable! we live in Lapta and it was worse than when we were in Mexico and got caught up in the tail end of hurricane 'george'!

This morning, lovely blue sky and sunshine x

basheer....yesterday there were torrential rains for 18 hours non-stop. Anybody who has not suffered as a result of these rains should count themselves very, very lucky. The forecast is for more of the same tomorrow. Once these rains arrive with such magnitude there is nothing any of us can do except hope and pray that the damage will be minimal.

It started chucking it down in Esentepe about 45 minutes ago and it looks like it's here to stay judging by the black clouds.

the good news is not to have the irrigation turned on yet

even if the sun does start to shine it will be weeks before the soil dries up

but you can't be that serious that the roads are unusable

it seems lapta are isolated and stuck and if I was there now I would be well and truely be confined indoors
