I have the same problem.. Bleach solution in water is correct unfortunately it has to be repeated every few days. Ventilation is the key... Also I bought a De-humidifier and I put an electric radiator in the room for several hours (in winter months) but it still appears although not as bad as before. we painted on a waterproofing product and redecorated but to no avail....

i again can only advice a Solar air heater. ventilation and warm air in one, prevents much better the multiplication of spores... may i also add that most of these thousands of different species of mould- and fungi- spores are 1. toxic, 2. invisible, 3. taste and odourless. so, if you SEE them, its really late!!!

Some plasterers use a vinegar solution. If you use the clear variety it won't stain... but you will notice your house smells a but like the local chippy for a short while.

The best spray to use is Dettol Mould and Mildew Remover. We had the same problem in January and it works a treat and the mould hasn't come back

hi the mould and mildrew remover works well ( up to 6 months )...just wipe on, once dry, use undiluted bleach..wall will be perfect...however....it will not stop the source of your damp...find this and take remedial action.
