I use Pacific and can recommend them. They will arrange transfers to their office in Kyrenia for £35 and arrange good price car hire.

That's £35 each way to Larnaca.



I think a collection and drop off to Ercan is free, i.e. included in your car hire price.

Can any of you help us with the rules about hiring a car in the South, and travelling to the North? We assume there will be extra insurance.

it will be difficult to hire a car in the south and bring it north , best bet is to hire in the north and get them to pick you up at airport.

Have used both sur rent a car and sun rent a car and can recommend both.



Both pick up and drop of in the south, Sur can deliver the car to Ercan free then pick it up again free and Sun have an office at Ercan.

I agree with rowlo. I've hired in the south, and although you have to arrange insurance, it was OK and I had no problems.



But it's much easier (and quicker, if you don't know where the check point is exactly) to hire a TRNC car and get them to pick you up from Larnaca and drive you to where you're staying in TRNC.



And I haven't found any company better than aone. They charge GBP25 each way from Larnaca, and are very reliable. Negotiate a good price with Ismail.
