Hubbs visited him yesterday and spent a while with him and his family, sitting in the Sun in their garden in Esentepe. He is well, his daughter came over from Turkey to help look after him for a few days during his recovery.

His face has sloughed off the burnt skin, and he admitted to looking like a tourist who has too much sun.

The surgical dressing is off his hand(s) and they are healing well, they joked that with no fingerprints to speak of, perhaps now was the time to think about a more lucrative career !

Somebody kindly printed off the "wish you well" posts from the forum(s) and took them round for him to read. He was amazed that so many people from the ex-pat community knew of his accident, and expressed their kind thoughts. He asked us to thank you all.

He was working on paperwork in his shop junk room next to the garage this morning, seems very well.

Glad to here he is ok, guy is a real pleasyre to talk to. Hope he quickly recovers and hopefully reopens the petrol station

Always have a good chat with him when we fill up and he is so helpful and informative too. Really hope the garage does reopen and wish him well.Wouldn't be the same without him.
