I have just had a phone call from some worried friends, who are booked into Altinkaya Holiday Village, Kyrenia, in 9 weeks time. They have been told that there's been a lot of flood damage, due to the bad weather we've had recently. This is their 2nd booking, lost 1st holiday when Globespan went bust :-( Anyone got any info they can post, as it maybe another week until I'm near there. Thanks' in advance. Navek

Navek i have seen that hotel on the turkish news and yes they did have a lot of damage how that will affect their bookings in 9 weeks i dont know, best bet is for them to contact hotel direct. There were a few hotels badly damaged including the new Savoy in Girne.

Hi Teresa & marcosthechef, I only got the phone call on Tuesday night at 9pm. Obviously their concerns were justified, from what you've said. A lot can be done in 9 weeks, especially if the complex is empty. Hope they can sort it all out soon, as many others will be booked in there too. Navek
