The water level on our pool has started to drop and is losing from somewhere. This just started after it nearly overflowed with the heavy rain (relevant or not I dont know). We have been advised to first of all fit an on/off valve to the backwash pipe. Apparently only a small job, so looking for someone local around Ozankoy area to do this please?

Sounds like a bit of detritus has got lodged in your non-return valve... a common cause of problems.

Have you checked your back wash pipe? Is there water coming out of it while the pump is running? If there is, it soulds like your multi-port valve is on the way out. Fitting an isolating valve to the backwash line is a temporary fix. Your pool water quality could start to deteriorate if the M-PV is faulty. Get your pool co to check it out.
