When you say full medical checks, what do you mean exactly. I have had a "full blood medical" checking for all manner of things I have never had checked before. Had it done at TALAT opposite Jinomer Clinic in Girne and cost was around TL400. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the information. I was interested in a health screening similar to the ones carried out by the Nuffield or BUPPA in the UK. This includes blood tests, physical examinations including check of skin, eyes, ears, nose and throat, cardiovascular and respiratory systems, joints and nervous systems, and exercise ECG test. They give a lung function test and hearing and vision tests.

Cyprus Life Hospital in Lefkosa have been doing this for a number of years, we've had this done twice now. If you ask at their reception they will give you the details of what's included, but it is very comprehensive and it will take up most of the day. The cost depends on your sex and age, but from memory, last year it was around £250/270. I believe BRS members get a discount.

We had a full check up at Cyprus life which was very comprehensive. Unfortunately although members of the BRS at the time we didn't get a discount as the health check is not included for discount. The price compared to England though is very good.

The Ozel Girne Hospital near Molley's Place does full check ups for men and women. Their leaflet lists 17 parts to the check up. 10 of which are done in the blood tests. They also do 50+ check ups for men and women too. Their number is 05338304545
