sky cards are paired to boxes so you cant take a card from one box and use it in another

absolutely correct .. it would only say " this is the wrong card for this set-top box for this card .. please call xxxx"



You'd have to borrow the whole box and card !



This restriction applies to the SKY premium channels ( Movies and Sports ) .. not channels such as Hallmark , Eurosport, etc.
