France and Germany are discussing the foundation of a "European Monetary Fund" in order to check and control the financial escapades of (first) Greece and other countries that are suspected to manipulate the books. Hopefully this "EMF" will go back in the books until 2000 and I wonder what this "EMF" will find in the application for EU membership of the RoC...

Do you think they might cancel the RoC's membership? Now, that would be interesting.

If EMF fund succeeds, perhaps, I will not have to work well into my 70s before I can retire, to support our "relaxed" little darlings , sorry, EU partners.

Germany is the only eurozone member that can stand on its own two feet with a solid manufacturing base and an economy that can support itself, I cant see the Germans bailing the Eurozone out forever as no doubt they will be expected to fill the pot while other eu members constantly feed from it. EMF will be a sticking plaster on an open wound eventually the EU will bleed to death.

I'm worried about the word 'Fund'!

This indicates financial support, which would ultimately come from 'you and me'!
