We will be there in 9 days for our fourth trip really looking forward to it. It could be our last as we are furnishing our apartment this time and will then stay there from now on. We will continue to drop in to visit and enjoy the hospitality.

To those who have returned recently can you tell me are Zube, Ramazan, Salee, and Mehmet still there ?

Have just stayed in the Courtyard at Karakum for a week and would highly recommend it. It has 4 bungalows with very nice pool. Staff very nice and very well situated.

Hi Naas - Ramazan and Salih have both left, Zubee is getting married this month (not sure of the date), Mehmet was still there last time we went (about 5 weeks ago). Not been for a while as last time we were there (before UK school holidays) a couple of brits by the pool complained about the noise from the children (they were laughing and having fun - what a disgrace!!). The atmosphere there is not what it was - cautionary tale, it doesn't matter how nice a hotel is - it's the staff that make it a good one!

Paul,

A number of us are hoping to meet there 24/9.

Would be really nice if you, or any board members for that matter (That is if your good lady

can find it) Aperitifs (large cold Effes at 7.00pm) followed by an evening of hilarity.

(Possible black pudding throwing competition), All try and make it!

It is true the atmosphere and the staff do add alot to your stay. From the beginning to the end of my stay I couldnt fault it. From the day we booked with Direct Traveller (1st class!) to the day we got back! Hotel is great value for money and it top condition.

The food!!!!! Amazing!

Heading that way tonight so will look in for beer on the passing.

Wyn

Stop trying to tell new members 24/9 is to be a quiet affair.....far from it Dave its going to be a rumble in the jungle the goodies versus the baddies a bit like Its a Knockout with Wyn ( AKA Eddie Waring) hosting the event. After the Black pudding throwing contest there will be haggis tasting followed by a wet T-shirt contest and the finals of the NC pole dancing competition where I'm told Wyn will play his joker!!!!

Look forward to seeing you there

Jim.

wackyjim,

Thanks for your E mail. I think that the sun must have been on your "hid" if you think you and Jock1 stand any chance on 24/9. Once the boys (I say that advisedly) get into the swing of things, Old Zube will need splints on his wrists, to keep up!.

I have no desire to embarrass you, but I only invited other board members,so that there were people there to carry you and Jock1 home. The black pudding is for the victors, so I would'nt get your taste buds in gear. Lets put it this way......"you keep the thought out of your mind, and we'll keep the taste out of your mouths."

Its sad really to have to drink you under the table, but I suppose its kinder, than having to "put the heed on yous"

To the victors the spoils, A Black Pudding Feast with Scratchings side dish!

Get out of the sun , wacky, its pointless shrivelling yourself up, to try to get an edge.

Do you think we could get Simbas to Pole Dance. That would give me a thirst!!

Enjoy your rest!.............You're going to need it!

Paul,

Hope you can make it mate. We need a referee, and you know that you can't trust a Scotsman.

Now a Yorksre man! Thats talking. Do you think your good lady could make it, if you left

The Pia Bella now?

You could bring Prezza Prescott to clean up after The Black Pudding throwing competition!

Hi Paul

Had a great meal last night...but not at the grapevine we ended up at the Veni Vici instead which I have to say was excellent. Tonight we were at Oleanders and had another top dollar meal, perhaps more interesting is that we were sitting beside littleniges next door neighbours. All I can say is HH watch out!!!!!

Wyn

You low down piece of belly pork!!!!! Roll on the 24th I intend bringing the A team with me ( brother -in law and cousins hubby to be precise) so you have been warned this is the real thing!!!! We mean business....

Welcome back Jock.

Don't worry. Your mate wackyjim is out there with his laptop so the tirade of insults, have been flowing a plenty!

Thinks if he shrivels himself up in the sun, that he will be able to hold his own on 24/9.

When I say hold his own, I think you know what I mean!......I don't know though!

Hi Jock

Had to come inside far too hot outside 39 degrees....phew!!! even the efes is struggling to work.

Your right the intelligent ones do come from the East!! Its a great pity none of our intelligence ,wit ,good looks and charm has managed to find its way into the Black Country.... Never mind we will perhaps help them out come 24/9.

Anyway its roasting inside as well....think I will need to go and cool down in the pool.

Cheers!!!

Hi wackyjim,

Sounds tough out there. Pity that the suns done nothing for your sense of humour.

There again you would need a good sense of humour to eat something like Haggis!

24/9 You boys will meet your Waterloo! (I don't mean The Gents.) Let the battle commence.

Hi Nass,

Not actually staying at the Ship but with so many good write ups I thought it should take place on our places to visits and have a drink or a meal.

Hence the request for directions

Hi The Ship Inn is on the Kyrenia Lapta main road. Going from Kyrenia it is on the left hand side just out of the town past the army camp. It looks like an old English building as it is black and white and very attractive.
