My friend has bought an apartment , she cannot reach neither a building company nor a solicitor to find out what is happenig now with their apartments.



They do not reply her messages.



Does anybody know ?

we walked around them about 10 days ago , they have their kitchens in and the water tanks are on the roof and at the back so it wouldn't take much to get them habitable. When we left last sunday there was a digger !! doing something to the access road. When your friend gets in she needs to make sure that the livingroom window is sealed properly as we saw that loads of the apartments on 5 had water in the livingrooms after the rains and it wasn't just a little bit!!!

Hulya is away having given birth to a daughter but she is due back anytime now. Unfortunately, she is the only one of the present staff who writes English at the moment. Ilker is around and just about the only way to contact him is by telephone. Apart from the road, phase 5 is all but finished.

We have also bought on phase 5 and are still waiting of Kibtek to go and do there checks, they were supposed to go 2 weeks ago but never turned up, ive been told they were due to go at the end of last week but havent heard anything else since, if i hear i will let u know.

hi, we are going over next week for 1 week, i will call and see Ilka and take some photographs of the apartments, ive been told that 4 of the 6 blocks are locked up and are not accessible at the moment, mine being 1 of them. Will let you know more after i have visited. Been told that Kibtek are going to do there inspections towards the end of April (hopefully this year) dont know what the situation is with electric meters yet, are they available? i dont know. If anyone else has info can you let me know.

Hi Ray we managed to go into all the blocks just 2 weeks ago the water tanks were all there but no pipes or pumps were in place.



The plumbing is the only major bug bear we have as its all crappy materials and we are forever having things breaking or leaking and we have to get them changed. we are on phase 2 . So you need to keep a close eye on the plumbing when its up and running.

Bad news for you guys: Hulya is not coming back, she cannot get baby sitting cover. It means Ilker's trying to deal with everything, hence it can be difficult to track him down, or get a reply. He's told me this week he's looking for a replacement.



However I have to say Ilker has been very helpful and informative for me....I have purchased on another site.

we are in blok A phase 2 . mostly its little things but we just found that our livingroom windows were not sealed properly and after the heavy rain the other week we had lots of water coming in the window. we went down to phase 5 and 4 and every apartment we went into had water in the livingroom all coming in through the bay windows .

so check your walls below the windows, as ours is still wet and we need real hot weather before it will dry properly and we can paint it!



we still feel that we wouldn't change our apartment for the world ,the build and finish is far better than alot of the other places we have visited. Oh our contract says that there will be a damp proof course on the ground floor, ha ha . has not happened and if you look around the ground floors of our blocks all the paint is peeling off and is damp!! Ilker did tell us that its because the blocks were painted while it was damp!

but thats rubbish they were painted in the summer

there is no damp proof on phase1 either .INfact i knpow of several downstairs appartments where the tiles and grout have all cracked and lifted as result.



but in fairness ive seen villas and small hotel new builds and they just dont treat rising damp like we know they should.They prefer to paint annually im afraid .

I think you will find that most people have asked about compensation, I know we did and guess what ,you will get nothing, the same as everyone else i'm afraid . Ilker just poo hoo's it . So don't hold your breath.

i think i was lucky,we got one that was already finished,all the snagging done too,the couple that owned it moved on to a villa after just having the keys for 6 months,theyre nice apartments and they are worth waiting for if you have to imo,we looked around at a lot of rubbish developments that didnt even come close to the quality of these places,if you want to talk about waiting for things,i put 20k into an offplan apartment 4 or 5 yrs ago and the site has been abandoned,all thats there is a shell.Probably kissed the money goodbye too.

Patience gentle folk, history suggests that Kavanlar comes good in the end. Remember this is not a perfect part of the world, just like the Uk but with different imperfections.

Hi Liz, My wife and i were over from the 6th to the 13th of this month. we couldnt access any of the apartments but i managed to get the key from builder for our place, everything was dry and showed no ingress of water through any of the windows after the storms.

Ilka told me he is still waiting of Kibtek to come and inspect, he also mentioned that he could not wait any longer for them before he lays the tarmac, and that if kibtek want any areas lifting he would do it and repair after, he expects to lay tarmac by the end of this month.

The water tanks at back of apartments were still not connected to mains supply, dont know when they will do this.

I think Kavanlar expect Kibtek to come before the end of this month (I HOPE) and suppose everyone else does to.

If i get any info i will let u know.

Hi Ray ,



there is alot of work going on on your site and also phase 4. I was around there yesterday and it seems to be all go. they are working on the road and pathways also also cleaning the garden areas.



Phase 4 has one couple already moved in and they are busy doing the kitchens etc on some of the others also the ground work gardens etc and the pool is clean but no water. I could not get close to the pool area on 5 but will try tomorrow and let you know ok

Sorry no idea about the Electric.



I had a good walk around today, they are busy putting the barbeques on the roofs ,the pool has only a couple of inches of disgusting water in it but it is being pumped out.



All the water tanks are there and in place. the site has been really cleaned up ,oh except for the water tank outside the three blocks at the front. it is hotching with all sorts but the water did look clean.



the people who have moved on to phase 4 must be using builders electric, also theirs is the only water tank that looks to be fitted but there are no water meters anywhere on either site.

you could also use builders electric just till you get your meter up and running. the down side is its expensive.and if they connect your tank you could get a tanker until they get your water meter.

Are you still out there? Thanks for all the info, sounds promising at last, i heard Kibtek were doing there inspection last week, (IVE BEEN HEARING THIS FOR MONTHS NOW)have you heard anything? Have they started to tarmac phase 5, and install lighting?

Do you know if we could get builders electicity? i asked Hulya when she worked for kavanlar but she said no, have tried to email Ilker about this but he never answers. We could realy do with this as we could move in at the end of this month.

Is there any way you could find out for me if its not to much trouble.

been around 5 and they haven't put the pumps in but it looks like its imminent. They have put loads of plants in and it all looks really good. will check again in a couple of days.





pumps are all in on 4, ground cleared ready for planting.



Have spoken to the couple on 4 and they have builders electric and are under the impression that its free!!! in for a shock i think!!

Builders - electric - free are 3 words that do not exactly go together. I have a pal who has been on builders elec for 12 months and is now getting his own generator as it will work out cheaper in the long run He obviously doesn't expect normal service for a while

Thanks again for all the info, and looking into builders electricity, like i said if we had it we could move in at the end of this month as iam back in the UK now.

We are phase 5, block 3,apt 3. ours is the end block that faces slightly north east next to the ravine.

Ive contacted my solicitor and asked him to call Kavanlar to ask about the temp electric, are you all on the national grid on phase 2?



When you say the pumps are fitted on 4 is this the household water pumps, are they fitted on 5 also?

yes its the household water pumps they are for pumping the water up into the tanks on the roof.The plumbers were fitting them on 4 on sat and i'm sure with the amount of work that they are doing on the two phases that your phase will be in in the next couple of days.



there is mega activity on the sites more than in the last year so they are really cracking on.



phase 1,2and 3 are all on kibtek electric now .
