I know I have posted already but this is such a beautiful dog - I want to see him adopted. :(

Friday morning a Doberman appeared at our villa - a long way from the main road and clearly not been fed for a long, long time. He has a dislocated right front leg and some nasty gashes on his leg. We contacted KAR but were told they would be unable to do anything until Monday. We took him to the vet and they have said the dislocation is an old wound as it has calcified but they have splinted it in the hope of some improvement. All the open wounds have been treated, amongst other things.

He is the most beautiful animal and has an amazingly gentle temperament. We have been informed by a man who lives round the corner, who owns a pure bred Doberman that this big chap is pure bred. He has not had his ears pinned, although his tail has been clipped/chopped or whatever it is they do!

I have sent pictures to Daisy Dukes Rescue website. If interested, call 05338388635. Cheers.

Spanna.

Thanks Lulubell...

Have contacted KAR who have said they may be able to help but I would much rather see him go to a good home where he will be loved and cared for...

There must be someone out there who needs a good guard dog!! Although, I have to say, we haven't heard him bark yet... so perhaps just a visual deterrent!! ;)

BTT...

If all else fails..... there is a Turkish Cypriot man in Guzelyurt who keeps doberman dogs. But its not an ideal scenario. Its just I know someone who took their doberman to him.

Could get the number if you want it.

He is indeed a beautiful looking dog, hope he finds a kind loving and permanent home soon. We used to have a doberman many years ago now. She was very faithful, playful, well behaved and was a good guard dog. She didn't bark much, only when there was a reason to. Sadly we had to have her put to sleep when she was 10 due to sudden and very short term illness. Hope somebody is able to home him.

Tatum....most times a bitch will happily accept another male...it might be worth a shot at trying to introduce them together gently under a watchful eye...just a thought....
