| as reported in today's "cyprus mail online" a greek cypriot a mr timvios, reached an amicable agreement to exchange land in the north with tc property abandoned south of the green line this local remedy, now enshrined under international law, is being blocked by larnaca land registry which is claiming they cannot register the tc land in his name, despite the full agreement of the original owners supposedly this is because the roc's "guardianship" rules do not permit it! so timvios is now talking about getting this agreement upheld by the echr, of all bodies, since he believes his human rights are being curtailed... so not only is the republic of cyprus unwilling to consider a compromise on the cyprus question, ie an historic agreement balancing property claims with the vital security guarantee, and which in this writer's opinion would greatly benefit their own population but their system is unable to let anyone achieve an individual compromise |

| jetski, I didn't say that, but it does make you wonder! the point is this was all done through the now internationally-sanctioned IPC well, with both talat and gordon brown now likely to be re-elected, we will all be in a brave new world quite soon so wait and see andre |
