Have been told that you can buy a fake hornets nest. Each hornest nest is always a war with the next so by having a fake one hung up keeps other hornets and bees away.

The person who told me about it says it works but havent tried it myself, nor do I know where to buy them but he got his from the net somewhere!

How I got rid of the hornets' nest:

Buy ant killer powder - get a 6 to 8 foot length of rigid plastic 1/2" pipe, or the electrical conduit pipe - pour the ant powder into the pipe after bunging up one end with a tissue - then, holding the other end of the pipe with your thumb on the hole, tap the pipe several times so that the powder all fals to that end. Wait til it's almost dark and then, standing the distance of the pipe away from the wasps' or hornets nest, or hole, as sometimes they live underground, aim straight, energetically blow through the pipe - the powder jets out - job done - wasps/hornets/swarm of bees, KAPUT!

It depends where you live. We had one in our roof and Lapta Beladeire (sorry can't spell it) sent out Frog to remove it and didn't make a charge.
