Do i still need to take photo copies of my uk licence etc when i renew my trnc licence? I have looked in the search box but the answers are old and i know stuff changes quickly here.

Take your old TRNC licence plus two photo,s to the tax office in Girne when you go in it is the last cashier, they will fill in the form ,indicate how many years you want , pay and get a green receipt this covers you ,go backin 3/4 weeks not 2 as it won,t be done by then

mine was done in 2 weeks very fast got 2 years just provided 2 photos old lice and copy of passport this was done 2 weeks ago collected yesterday no probs at all

You do not need copies of any U.K. licence if you are renewing TRNC one. Also double check for how many years - I got 10 - well worth it, taking away the hassle of renewing too often.

Just make sure you leave plenty of time for getting the new one when the old expires, cos they sometimes make mistakes and have to be done again! That happened to me twice.

form in girne tax office only alows up to 2 years think if you want more it has to come from lefkosia

It seems to depend who the member of staff is. I went to Lefkosia to get mine because the girl in Girne was adamant that I could have only one year for a further year, and then I could change. Not worth the hassle of arguing so went to Lefkosia. I would suggest if Girne is convenient that you start there, and then if refused just say 'Thanks I will come back'; and go off to lEFKOSIA. If you get what you want at Girne, then that's good, isn't it?
