The Salamis Conti resort casino hotel is (I think) just before Boğaz, on the way to the Karpas

this beach is probably not in TRNC. looks like somewhere near varrosha on the south side.. water and sand colour are nearly similar.. and there are many hotels in that area.. I doubt that the hotel on the picture is salamis continental.. I had a loook from google earth and cannot make up any identical points. Also the guide is quite bad as the 5 best beaches are not at all the 5 best beaches of cyprus. they are 5 beaches but not the best. what about altın kum?? golden sand? how could they forget the TRNC world wonder? many other beaches on my mind before Diana Beach..

thanks i know the greek side very well only beachs with white sand are nissi beach , makrnissio beach , and fig tree bay ,also konnos bay is shallow white sand . i remember a few years ago under salmis ruins the beach in that area was quite white i think ? so i guess "ronnas bay" karpaz is the only white sand in north cyprus with shallow water ? then dont get me wrong i do love golden beach im just a sucker for white sand and im sure ayia napa area is not the only part of cyprus that has that . keep the replys coming you lot have been ever so helpful thank you and by the way im not basheer im his son aly hi

Interesting that three of the five are in the north, and the other two in the south. But, the picture mystifies me. I lived in the south, but it has developed a lot since then. If one looks there are obviously severla hotels towards the sky line. Could be Limassol? Or Coral Bay - maybe too big for that. Protaras maybe, but I haven't been there for 20 years. There is no indication form the picture details as to where it was. I will write and ask. Agree it looks enticing, cos I also like white sand - except when it is hot, hot, hot cos then my poor little tender feet can't walk on it.

I hasten to add to my previous msg that the photo is YEARS old, maybe pre-1974, or just after - Lebanese built hotel in the background. Just proves the point that if the GCs and TCs settled their differences, stopped trying to turn clock back, they would all make a fortune. Cyprus has got everything for a prosperous future, but the GCs can't rule the roost! Geoff Famagusta City

Re: Msg 10, basheer, Last but one picture is Golden Sands Beach, Last picture is the beach appr.halfway between Dipkarpaz and Golden Sands Beach. It is my favourite beach with your beloved white sand, clear aquamarine water and NO PEOPLE around. Shhh, don't tell anyone, I want it to stay that way!

sure thing clarissa i shall keep "ronnas bay" on the low looks so nice and peaceful there, would be a shame to spoil it.... when i go back to karpaz is malibu beach club hotel still the best hotel to stay in that area ? it seemed nice and clean, and the beach was not to bad either there. also i remember being able to get food and drink anytime early hours of the morning just head to the kitchen and wake up who ever is there ,if not just help yourself its great lol i plan to head back to karpaz in may sometime, but this time i think i need a jeep , small car wont be nice driving around that top part of the pan handle . until then i shall look out of window and enjoy the lovely cold rain here in LONDON :(
