You are not wrong. We had exactly the same problems. Everything is expensive compared to the UK and the South but you just have to bite the bullet and get the best deal you can in the North. We, having searched the island for reasonably priced furniture, ended up buying from Electrokur which is on the main roundabout in Girne. Paid about £300 for a table and 4 chairs which would probably have cost £150 at B & Q. Good Luck and try not to argue too much!!

Hi Pools, Yes I bought my furniture from the North. Just the odd thing from Ikea that I found it impossible to get in the TRNC. If you look under the furniure/shopping posts they give you lots of useful advice and recommendations

We got our garden furniture from Aladins Cave on the main road, fairly resonable price.

I have been to Aladins cave, last year he was alot cheaper than many others but now he seems just as expensive. Think I'll take a look in Lefcosia.
