Car Insurance to Drive in South Cyprus

Does anyone know of any insurers in the south who will insure a car from the north with north plates to drive over there. I know we can't get insurance this side cheaper than the border but didn't know if there was anyway of buying in the south

gan insurance in the south are the cheapest , they tell me that the cover is for all the island , but if the police at the crossing do not accept it , they are sorry but they can do nothing about it ? .

Littlemo, were you able to find out if you could obtain 3rd party insurance for the south in a north registered car other than buying it at the border?

It is now illegal to display any item in your windscreen, including tax discs; I assume this Law applies to any vehicle visiting the South.

It is NOT illegal to display tax disc, MOT disc, etc on the car windscreen in the south. However what changed is that it is no longer mandatory to display the tax disc and MOT disc (no longer a disc, now square shaped).

We couldn't get any insurance company to cover our north plated car in the south. We even asked in the south but no luck. The only place to get it does seem at the border.
