| i spoke with owner of rental company last week and he says he will never allow his cars at present to go south. seems to be majority are saying the same . he says there would be nothing to stop somebody taking it to larnaca airport etc and leaving it ,the south side do not or would not help them track details and pass them back to owner to report it missing . and a great lack of trust "they would just strip my car down for parts" are major factors kav |

| Sylvie, You seem to be repeating yourself. The companies here will not allow their cars to go south. They know the risks and they are far greater than any possible profit. There is a high risk of vandalism, of theft, of cars being impounded for spurious reasons by the GC Police. You say you have lived here, if so you must know the animosity that exists. Perhaps you have never had your TC registered car vandalised while in a car park on the south or been stoned by hooligans because that happens, in fact there was an incident earlier this year when a man feared for his life because he took a wrong route. On the surface, from afar it sounds good but if you lived here full time you would be aware of the problems. |
