After waiting since last June, due to planning permission being sought by the builder for two out of five bungalows on our site, we finally saw the KIB TEK control officer on Monday 22 March. He said we could go down to the office on Tuesday with necessary paperwork and sort out installation of meter. This we duly did and were asked to return on Thursday. Thursday morning, not so bright and early, and more delay, could we come back at 2pm. Anyway as you are all aware after several trips up and down the stairs finally had receipts with the promise that the meter should be installed within seven days. Our question is - is this a realistic time span or just another delaying tactic.

Decanddyl Might experience last year was from paying for the meter to installation was 11 days. Like you it took several months from when the transformer & Distribution box were fitted to be in a position for Kibtek to ALLOW us to pay for the meter. Max...

Once you have waited for the meter, the next thing you wait for is a fuse.... we are on 3 years and still counting. We are connected by a thick piece of red coated wire, it's working but how safe is another question? The whole of this side of the island were going to have replacement fuses within the week, that was 62 weeks ago, should have asked which week, I know!
