Just received our Kocan and have been told that it alleviates the requirement for other documents like the Muhtar's letter? Anyone confirm this?

No,you'd still need muhtar's letter regardless.

I have a house in Girne with deeds(and I'm Cypriot),when we first moved back here I needed muhtar's letter for everything.

They wanted me to get residency permit for my wife as well,so I said sod it and got her a kimlik card instead.Who'd beleive that I'm Cypriot!!
