Get on a plane!! It's a bit of a long walk otherwise. Oh yeah, you would need to be a good swimmer too.

Go to http://www.dau.edu.tr and apply to be a student through their Nigerian representative, thats assuming you are coming for education purposes.

The word racist has been used and I think it appropriate. How would you like it if all Nigerians believed all Brit's were illiterate bigots, just based on what they read on this board?

No offence meant.........Honest.

Phylray and Hilltop, My comments were probably a bit harsh! But Im stating facts! And from experience. Theres good and bad amongst all nationalities and not all people from a particular country are the same. I will also state again Im not a racist, I have very close friends from all parts of the World. I am sometimes ashamed to be British because we are tared by the same brush as far as a lot of other nationalities are concerned!

Vikiviko, no offence to you intended.

P.S. Phylray and Hilltop, I forgot to mention or expand....You say "Racist" Every single Traffic Warden I have seen or had dealings with in London have been Nigerian, rude and bad attitude. If that is not racism or prejudice against White English people then what is!?.............In other words Do they not employ English/British people?

Oh Yes Phylray, I am a Christian Spiritualist actually! With a big heart.!...I rescued 4 young Polish people 18 months ago outside my house, dumped and robbed part of an international scam. The two Women were crying....and freezing cold. I spent days helping them with the Police...etc and even payed for accomodation so they could get some comfort and rest.

i think we can only speak as we find , and what we experience , i have had experience of the scams by nigerians via e-mails and face to face contact while i was in ghana , some of these guys are so believable . but i have also got good nigerian friends that say the same things about their own countrymen

Hi Nunu

Well done for helping those poor white Polish people.

What did the authorities say when you complained about those nasty Nigerians?

I have no idea if vikiviko is a scam artist or not, but thats the point isn't it? We don't know. I read his Takingitglobal entry before making my first post (it's in his profile (ish)) and decided that jumping to conclusions and damning 140 million people may not be decent or sensible.

Hilltop, I did not bother reporting them nasty people as it would have been a waste of time and I would have been no doubt called a racist, and clearly I am not. My best best friend is from St Vincent.....He has the best Suntan I can only dream of!

It is not acceptable to judge one person by what you find in traffice wardens in London - it is not the only place in this country. I also have had these Nigerian

scams & I deplore them but also have scams from others of all kinds. As Simbas says "take people as you find them" I am not religious at all but all people are entitled to respect until proven unentitled.

I am saddened and disgusted by some of the reactions on this topic. Why make the instant assumption that this is a scam artist even if you have been scammed or attempted to be scammed? The "Nigerian 419" scams originate in all parts of the world and to assume that every Nigerian is a scammer is racist pure and simple. Racism is sad as it reflects more on the mindset of the perpetrator than the supposed traits of the victim.

Also the UK does not welcome all nationalities with open arms and not all traffic wardens are Nigerian and many of those who do the job are only driven to an attitude because of the abuse that they get from enforcing policies that they don't make.

Just as it's unacceptable to judge the attitudes of all GR citizens from the views of one person you met in Corfu, eh?

I don't judge "all GR citizens" by one person in Corfu, (of course I don't) but was merely contrasting my own experience comparing over three years in

Turkey of not hearing even ONE person exporessing anti-Greek sentiments.

I would have been just as disgusted if it had been other way round.

You never said where you learnt Gaelic - I am interested in that & yes, I know

all about an Fuadach nan Gaedheal & why would I not sympathise with anyone

who has lost their home (as I did when v. young) but it applies to both sides.

Thank you for giving me such a deserved welcome messages because am a Nigerian.

Anyways i have been using the internet for over 5 years now and i am used to welcomes like thse whenever i join a forum or introduce myself.

My intent to visit TRNC is borne out of the need to make a tourist visit, i am journalist and i have good job here.Travelling is one of my hobbies, so asking for a clue to visit Trnc I think should warrant criminal remarks.

All the same am happy to ber here and am sure i will better for it.

Thank you all.
