| You can buy them in the fruit & veg section of Orphanides. The Israelis stole them (Kumeras - Maori potato) from New Zealand, as they did Kiwi Fruit, and now have a thriving export industry. I think they have also 'nicked' Nashis (Oriental Pears) from NZ, also. Has anybody eaten a Nashi? - So juicy, you need to stand over the bath to eat 'em! |

| i have only bought them south side as with parsnips and sweeds.I did have some seeds for parsnips and sweeds but failed miserably. i do not understand why they can have them there and we cant grow them here, is the soil so different xx |

| Of course they can grow in TRNC - the climate is ideal; but that would require 'initiative' = doing something useful without being told. If the government can't use their initiative to make the changes urgently necessitated to boost the stagnant economy, one can hardly expect a 'man of the land' (euphemism!) to! |
