I should wait until you have used him before passing on recommendations, i spoke to a guy only yesterday who told me he was a rocket scientist then today he emptied our dustbin.

You can always ask him if he can show you work he has done, it is up to you who you use.

Personnaly, I never use someone without seeing previous work. As stated he seems honest and hardworking, i am not recommending over and above others.
