Internet sim card for iPhone

Hi



I'm hoping that someone can help me with this.



I live in the uk, with an o2 contract for my iPhone.



When I visit N Cyprus in May, will I be able to buy a sim card that will give me access to the Internet.



I'm sure I can use my o2 sim but know this will work out very expensive.



Any advice would be much appreciated.

I do not have an iphone, but have owned many other O2 phones and USB dongles and found them to be unlocked so any sim card will work. Quickest way to find out is to try another company sim card in your phone (borrow a friends) if it works your phone is unlocked and you will be able to purchase a Telsim or Turkcell sime card in North Cyprus. If you are staying in a hotel you may have WiFi (Hotel Pia Bella provide a free service, and there are many others) so you can send emails without buying a sim card. There are also Hotspots provided by eXtend to give you internet access on the move. You will have to buy a username/password from eXtend. First check your phone to see if you are in a Hotspot reception area.

Turkcell have special SIM card exactly for internet access

They have 3 plans,60,80 and 100 TL monthly)

All You need to know-it is APN



APN internet.kktcell



I use it second year.Connection quite fast!

You can get any sim card here that has internet access your only problem is that your iphone will be locked to o2 unless you have it unlocked to any network. If you have version 3.1.2 and your iphone is jailbroken than it will probably be unlocked.
