New market started today. Due to other events taking place today plus the poor weather it was quite a poor turnout. It is on again next week, so please come along and give this new venture your support. Dumyat.

I doubt whether there is any need for more (markets) of the same. Two on Friday, one on Saturday (now even between 10 am and four pm), one on Sunday - and I'm only talking about 'West of Kyrenia'.

Once again the dutchcrusader puts on a negative post. If it is of no interest to you, dont go, dont comment and leave the post to people who are.

I went this morning and yes although a poor turnout due to whatever reasons i think it is a good idea, even managed to pick up a couple of bargains. Maybe a sign on the road to let people know both english and turkish, I think with time this could be a nice little market and somewhere to go to on a sunday morning.

Yes, nice atmosphere, and a few hiccups to cope with, but with promises of being supporting next week, it is somewhere to go for the folk out west on a Sunday morning if only to meet other folk and grab a bargain. Personally I am sorry I missed all the best people! (message 4!) I guess Teresa is an early bird!

Yep - to be expected - the usual unsupportive and critical "Dashak" from our orange friend. Unfortunately today's other events (and the weather) deterred people from visiting. I'm sure better signage (and weather) will encourage greater participation.

The people will decide whether they want another market and vote withtheir feet (or not). But to Teresa, I was too hinged to my bed to get there at 10.30, but arrived at 11! Catch up later. Or next week - must buy one of those fresh newly baked loaves on sale.

As far as I am concerned, you cannot have too many markets east or west. Markets have a great atmosphere, good fun, meet people and maybe find a bargain. I will be there next week for sure!!!!!!

Too true Katy! It is always great to have a chance to meet folk, so maybe we can meet you next week. That is as long as I am not hinged to my bed!
