Can anyone please help me. I am doing a builders clean and I don't know what to use for cleaning the Marble floors. So far I have tried washing up liquid and water, but this has left it all smeary. I expected to clean it and it would come up all shiney. I have been told that I have to be very careful about what I use. No lemon or bleach. HELP!!!

And don't use vinegar. While vinegar is safe for most cleaning projects, it is not for marble. Don't use anything acidic. Plain hot water worked best for me. I pretty much agree with the link above except the air dry. I got a nice shine when I towel-dried the floor. I used a sanitizer around the toilets and it caused dullness. But I've got boys and I'd rather have a dull area around the toilet! Good luck.

Our Villa has the ordinary ceramic tiles on the floor not the shiny marble ones I remember when my husband was in the forces we lived in Limasol in the sixties, I used to buy liquid polish which was poured on to the floor and a mop used for spreading around on the floor tiles, they came up lovely. Does any one know if you can buy similar here in the North.
