I have just had all the downstairs marble flooring in my house (including terraces) stripped polished and buffed - and the result is simply spectacular. I really cannot believe the difference.



I would highly recommend Masterfinish (I have actually no connection with this company) - I always like to recommend good work. Their prices are also reasonable and they are tidy workers and leave no mess.

I am surprised you had a good job done by that company, a friend of mine was very disappointed, he went around the furniture and didnt bother to move it, he splashed chemicals up their furniture that later discoloured the fabric! He then had to get the whole job re0done by another company, so all in all a waste of money...but then i suppose you get what you pay for, cheap aint always the best!!!!

They charge 5 Lira per square metre. Message 3 - are you sure you have the right company - can you remember who did your friend's floors.

Well I can only speak as I find and they did a great job for me - everything moved and put back in the same place - even enormous fruit trees in pots on patio taken down steps and relocated on lower patio - and left there - at my request. They did offer to return and put them back. I would certainly use them again,

Are ceramic floor tiles the same as marble floor tiles only they are not polished?

Sissy, Ceramic floor tiles are normally fired with a glazed finish making them hard wearing and not usually susceptible to stains and therefore quite easy to maintain. Marble floors are very porous and therefore susceptible to stains. The high polished finish of marble will tarnish in time and will require stripping and repolishing.

Just would like to say a big thank you to Lee from Masterfinish, they have just done the whole of my downstairs area and both terraces, great job, for the first time in 4 years they look new. Like Joan I found them really tidy and very reasonably priced.
