personally like map 1 the most then map 3 for the clickable map for each reservoir makes sense to me having map with just the reservoirs and each one clickable - I would happily use it Andrea

Thank you, Andrea! As a "reward": which reservoir would you like me to do first?

I agree with Oz but using 2 and then 3 as these two are very detailed. Would also like to suggest that Google Earth Longitute/Lattitude would provide a great reference for getting there etc., As any route back tracking to where you are coming from can help in planning a journey. Nice job DC love all your maps. Julia

juliamoons: The main map will be clickable and every reservoir on the main map will me numbered (with four hot spots), so you can chose any of the fours detailed maps you want any time. Earth Longitute/Lattitude: will be done. Either on the main map or on the four detailed maps. More suggestions? Welcome!

hi dutch if possible could you put the approx road lengths leading up to the lakes so we will be able to clock this on our mileometers so you will know if you have gone to far and missed a turn off. could you mark a spot on the lakeside for the best entry to the lake and exit for the car. if you can find out any information on what kind of fish are in the lakes it would be good to note on the map as you could choose the lakes from what spieces are available in each water very helpfull for fishermen. could you have a dedicated site were all visitors of the lake could post pictures and experiences of there visits this would be exellent and could show the potential for fishing in the north and plenty of good tips and guides for all the lakes. just a few ideas, keep up the good as this is exactly what i need on my next visit so i am not climbing half way down a mountian as i couldnt find the road leading to the lake last time near the acapulco resort.

RE msg 9, sweep: 1) "approx road lengths". I've put a horizontal scale near the lake. To make it easier I'll put a vertical scale on the maps also. 2) "mark a spot on the lakeside". I really don't have the time to check all the reservoirs in detail. But if fishermen send me feedback I'll be pleased to put it on the maps. 3) "kind of fish are in the lakes". See 4) 4) "dedicated site". If I'm not mistaken there is already such a site (or was it a dedicated thread on this board?). I'll check. Thank you for your feedback! http://is.gd/bssYn

there is a marvellous book called 31 walks in North Cyprus with step by step details of the walks, this includes any reservoirs. I bought it last year at the book shop in Catalkoy. Many walks all over the I sland.

RE msg 16, Toonie: (...) walks, this includes any reservoirs. (...) => Toonie, I have this book "Walks in North Cyprus" (3rd Series, September 2001) and although there are nice walks described (with some very basic maps, though adequate for walkers) I haven't found the 30+ reservoirs in Northern Cyprus. Which edition are you referring to?

RE msg 18, Toonie: No problem at all! I found only four walks in the book with a map showing a reservoir also, that's why I asked. I think the maps I'm producing now are (mainly) of use for fishermen.

We went and found Mersinlik Resevoir on Thursday. Could not find a path around the waters edge, so not sure if it is good for fishing. To access it take the bottom dirt track which will take you to the bottom of the overflow. This can be walked up, unfortunately I had the wrong footwear on and did not attempt it. If you take the tarmac road up and the first dirt track on your right you can see this fabulous reservoir from above. I took some video of it from above:- enjoy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ase_GigVABQ Julia

Take the old coast road as the new coast road is blocked immediately before the Mersinlik turn off. You will eventually see a sign pointing right for Mersinlik.
