What is the Golf Club like for a special meal for 2, or the Mercure or Colony Hotels etc? Already been to The Malpas, The Midsummer House and Patina's which we love but want to go somewhere not been before and where the food will be good and we will be looked after well. Any suggestions please?

What time of year is it - some places are great outside but not so special indoors when the weather is bad? G

The Anniversary is early May, so presumably lots of places will be outside.

A few people on here rave about Guido's but I didn't rate it myself. And it's not in a great setting... Try somewhere like The Ambiance and let them know why you will be there. Check they are outside as it is a stunning location with decking out over the sea - Inside is nice, but not as special. http://www.ambiancecyprus.com/ GOOD LUCK, G

For that special occasion we would recommend Restaurant 14 in Girne old Turkish quarter. Recently reopened after a refurb' around the pool or under the alcoves. Lovely setting and wonderful food. Open Monday to Saturday 7pm onwards. 05428592072 / 05338402072 / 03928155769

Hve tried all of them......Bellapais Gardens gets our vote...closely followed by The Archway for something more traditional.

No 14 definitely. Have yet to try Guido's , Midsummer House and Bellapais Gardens so cannot comment on those but hope to rectify that when we get back over there. Would have to pass on Guido's mouse though! Maybe it will be chocolate cateux that night. Sorrrrrrry!
