We are thinking of staying at Burhams in September - can anyone let us know if its OK - the website doesnt really do it any favours!! We will only stay 1 night. If no good can anyone recommend anywhere else. We are for 3 weeks from 1st September and when we have been before we have stayed mainly around the town - are there any suggestions of places to see.

I love Burham! Great village! Pubs in Burham (must be enough for your one night stay, I suppose): for a relatively small village Burham is fortunate in having five popular Public Houses offering a wide variety of Food and Drink, including Real Ales. These are: * The Toastmaster Inn * The Golden Eagle * The Fleur de Lys * The Windmill * The Robin Hood One day I'm going to visit the place. Maybe.

Re : Msg 1, "...If no good can anyone recommend anywhere else..." Yes, I can . Biarritz, Bari and Barletta are much better than Burham.

Do you mean BURHAN'S Golden Beach in the Karpas ? I haven't stayed there as I don't like to 'rough it' I would recommend Balci Plaza though, very clean and good food. They have a website but you would need to phone for a reservation.

JoandWal....we stayed next door at Tekos Beach and ıt was fıne. The huts (sheds) have a lıttle shower room, they were clean and the people were nıce. The only problem ıs they get very hot ınsıde (we went ın July), and we dıdnt sleep for 3 nıghts! and also you never get a really cold drınk as the generator ıs swıtched off at nıght! I thınk that Tekos was nıcer then Burhans. Its a great experıence ıf you dont mınd roughıng ıt a lıttle.

| Joand Wal We stayed a night at Burhan's last year (April 2009) the little huts were clean & basic - a double bed & a shower/toilet. Wouldn't recommend going in the hot season as no air con so sleeping would be difficult! Burhan himself made us a lovely meal of barbecued lamb chops & home made chips. Breakfast was also included. Couple of tips - take you own wine as the choice is quite limited, also take pillows (if you like more than one) soap & toilet rolls. Basically treat it as though you're going camping in a hut! The beach is beautiful - pure white sand & deserted! If you're used to 5 star hotel's it's probably not for you but it's worth roughing it to wake up next to the unspoilt med in the morning! Enjoy!
