i am seriously thinking of adopting a child , when i come over to live in cyprus very soon , could anyone help me with this , and let me know weather it would be possible as i am english

You have to be living here for at least 2 years before you can be considered as an adoptive parent however if you meet all the regulations and checks then you may be able to become a foster parent after 6 months.

Kaz i am sure there will be the usual police checks needed but the information i gave is correct as of today, i phoned and checked. I did ask about the language problem and was told that any child up for adoption to an english couple would have to be a very young child or even a baby.

I'm still waiting for my parents to sign the adoption papers after 54 years! They are still deliberating whether I'm of good and moral character to enter the family!
