I need a long ball gown and would like it made by a qualified dressmaker if possible. I have a picture of what I want so if anyone can recommend someone, with instructions on how to get to them, I would be very grateful.

Thanks

Yes I can. You will not be disappointed if you go to the Gardenia bridal and evening wear shop near the large branch of Hurdeniz in Girne. The lady there makes the most beautiful dresses. Our daughter had her dress designed and made by them and it was perfect in every way. They also have a large selection of evening dresses for sale off the peg that can be altered by them if need be.

I can also recommend Oya at Gardenia, she is a trained designer & made my wedding dress. She has loads of ball gowns as well & has a full dressmaking service. I would not hesitate to use her or recommend her.

There is a very good dress designer behind Molly`s in the parade of shops near the private hospital.

I paid a lot of money for a ballgown and it was cut on the bias and about 5" too long. While I was there I was looking at his designs. He will make anything for you. Sorry cannot remember his name but the service was first class. Dont be put off by the appearance of the shop. You would drive past it. He designs and makes uniforms for the Colony Hotel.

Thanks everyone, your comments are much appreciated and I will definitely check out Gardenia then the one behind Mollys then move further out if I do not find what I want. I knew someone would be able to help. It will be a "billy bonus" if the dress turns out to cost less than the original in Debenhams!
