Buying a 'lane' with full utility services, you could make a profit!

Alsancak for me

Best location for beaches restaurants and great mountain and sea views

Close enough to Girne but not too close

Lapta and Catalkoy also worth a look

Military land is everywhere

Melanie - my Urologist has very chubby fingers!

Is this Uncle Ted again, I ask myself?

Sorry to hear about your bladder problems. Do you pee in the dark or with the light on? Depending on your answer, you may need an oncologist as well one day.

No, no I am not Uncle Ted however I do understand why you would ponder that. Do you have a vacant villa or Bungalow by any chance?

No Melanie, afrad I do not.

However, I suspect that not you, but the originator of this thread, is good old Uncle Ted.

And people will continue responding, as usual trying to help, with someone laughing their socks off.

If the 'guy' has really been following this board, his final question would never have been asked.

PS - finished with the Oncologist, I sincerely hope!

Depends on what sort of area you like, if you like living in or around towns, Girne. Go west it is becoming like little england, come east you get the beautiful peaceful side of the north.

If you are serious about buying land for investment then look at the karpaz region. With everything that is going on in Bafra, several themed hotels under construction and the new Karpaz gate marina well under way, (not a proposed marina). This region has most Turkish Title deed land too. You can buy from as little as £8,000 per donum for large areas of land. So Paul if you are serious then contact me or look at this link.

Could you be a little more specific in what sort of lane are you looking to buy, because the list is endless - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lane or are you just leading us up the garden lane (path)

kaiserphil - not sure about this particular new member, but I am a bit suspicious about "Newest Member" at the very top of the board

Kim and Neil ask this question all the time. Jeannie, the 'newest member' is also on another forum, only without the numbers on the end.

dear Paul..everyone is different..i think the split is about 50/50 on either East or West.....most property east will have great sea views whilst West has a large expat community, and if bought back on the mountain slope, will also have good views.

You need to decide on what will suit you and your budget as opinions here will be fairly evenly divided

I do not think that someone with property in the west would say east is best or visa versa

Thanks for clarifying that Dave.

I suppose you can't blame people for being a bit 'over suspicious', given some of the things that have happened.

Bellapais, Karmi, Edremit, Zeytinlik. IMO the nicest areas around Girne. Go take a look for yourself.
