Hans, what is the difference between this thread and the one YOU wrote here? http://www.cyprus44.com/forums/17409.asp Oh yes, this thread doesn't praise Guido's in some capacity. Are you on commission or salary to be Guido's chief advertiser?

RE msg 3, gooligan: (...) Are you on commission or salary to be Guido's chief advertiser? (...) => Yes. Both. Including free lobsters weekly, oysters every fortnight and unlimited Seven-Up. And?

And? Someone has the decency to praise a local restaurant for doing a good job and you have to take the p*ss and put them down. Why?

RE msg 6, gooligan: So someone (msg 1) had a good meal and thanks a certain Riaz. What good is it to anyone here who'd like to have substantial information about restaurants, bars etc? It's just twaddle and board pollution - which happens more and more here daily. Just my opinion of course.

Hans, have a look at the last 100 posts of yours and tell us all how many have been personal attacks against other members. Rule number 3 obviously means nothing to you and it's about time you started adhering to it.

Everyone is entitled to post an opinion about a restaurant or bar that they have visited. Without that input people would'nt be able to make a decision as to whether to visit the place or not.

I too would like to thank Riaz for our special meal on Thursday night. Why special? Because at our request he prepared us a typical Pakistani village meal which was both different from normal restaurant food and extremely tasty. Clearly a lot of effort went into this, well worthwhile as 12 customers left for home full and happy after a very special evening.

Dutch Crusader surely as relevant as your post about some person called George and his 60th birthday party at a bar in Lapta. The post was intended to show that Riaz and Happy Valley go the extra mile and most readers would recognise that as a recommendation, Old Dogs took it further and explained why. Thank you gooligan and No 1 doyen DC does appear to be a bit brittle for some reason known not to me!

Dutchie seems to be trying to pick a fight with everyone at the moment. I don't think that he is doing his beloved Guidos any favours by advertising for them on here. Just the opposite I suspect.

Happy Valley hasn't seved me a bad meal yet, The food isn't that varied but whatever they have prepared for me was perectly acceptalbe. The waiters are polite and eagar to do their best to please. The place is rather scruffy and could do with a re-vamp and it is rather odd to see Irish prints, left by the previous owner adorning the walls of a Pakistani eatery! Finding a reliable, acceptable restaurant in North Cyprus is getting difficult these days so whilst not spectacular Happy Valley is consistently satisfactory. The same comments apply to the other Pakistani resaurant in Catalkoy, Sharaz although there is a little more to choose from at Sharaz. Pity that we have to rely on Pakistani restuarants at this end of town for anything half way decent to eat though!
