I need help my clk is a 2000 model bought secondhand in 2002 and still own the car in my name

I assumed only cars under 5 yrs would be allowed into trnc, from what i just read i can ship my car over and use it there and after a yr pay the local tax even though its now 10yrs old and in my name for the last 8yrs I should not have any problems at customs there and keep the car there indefinately

Basheer e-mailed off board if you have had the car in your name for over 5 years should be no problem

I am thinking of doing the same thing does anyone know if the personalised plate would be OK to bring or would I have to change it back to the original one before I drive over.

They look at the log book so if the log book say abc 123 registered keeper since 2004 no problem I would think

If you change it back would it say DP04ABC first reg 2010 to you?

Once the car is TRNC registered you can sorn it and keep the cherished number or sell it on
