Hi Tom! When the flights start again, will Pegasus accept booked passengers (for instance: this Wednesday morning 7 am Ercan -> Istanbul -> Amsterdam) or will *everybody* be rescheduled? Thanks for your reply.

This is part of the answer I got from Tom (IAH-Holidays): "Dear Hans, I am not quite clear on this. If I understand correctly people who have a flight booked will have priority on that day and anyone who has been or has to be transferred will be taken in rotation. I am copying this to Peter of Pegasus who might be able to help me give you a better answer, if so I will pass on anything more definite."

Thank you, Tom, good service as usual!

Good news from Pegasus to close this day: "Hi Tom/Hans, To the best of my knowledge you are correct in assuming those booked on any flights which will fly, those bookings will take precedence and past canx bookings will hopefully then fill any seats not allocated.

I believe Pegasus will do their utmost and endeavour to find capacity to cover those pax who unfortunately due to no fault of themselves or indeed the carrier had their flight cancelled."

Again: thank you for your excellent communication!

Hi,

From my experience of dealing with airlines they would rather have one group of VERY pissed off people rather than several groups of FAIRLY pissed off people.

So those booked to fly on a particular day will do so, while those who have been rebooked will go to the end of the queue.

Vicious but fair!!!

Well I am, those that have a definite booking for a specific days flight will get priority over those that are back logged!

Not just economically sound, sound business. Think of the chaos if it was a free for all, the airports would come to a halt. I expect there will be many more flights put on and carriers will take as many passengers from which ever airline. We got stuck in Athens, engine problem with BA. We and others were put on every available flight back to UK. We flew Frankfurt Heathrow with Lufthansa, others went on Greek and French carriers.

Today the 7.10 am Pegasus flight Ercan -> Istanbul left on time. The Pegasus flight Istanbul -> Amsterdam seems to leave on time also, I was told from Istanbul. Though extremely busy Amsterdam Schiphol Airport seems to operate as (almost) normal.

P.S. Many British arriving at Schiphol have chosen to travel to the UK by train or ferry.
