On the BBC web site in the gossip it states that this will happen at the end of the 2010/11 season, one more tilt for Fergie at the Champions League. Cannot see O'Neil going to Old Trafford.

I have it on good authority Taggart may leave at the end of this season He spends alot of time at Deepdale - think he goes to every game he can Now notwithstanding the fact that his son manages them ive heard there is more to it than that Watch this space

If Fergie win the league maybe he will stand down, but he will be around next season if they dont. By his amazingingly high standards(I am a Liverpool Fan) this will not be a good one for him without the league. So expect him in charge for maybe 2 more seasons as he will want to go out on a high, and with his stalwarts, Giggs, Neville and Scholes still there do not write him off yet!

Well, I amazed you've all got is so wrong. Fergies intial choice Steve Maclaren "the wally with a brolley" is about to win the Dutch championship with FC Twente. Rumours are that United still keen on him as THE replacement for Fergie. Can't wait for the anouncement..., God help United...

its all about opinions i suppose . mourinhio may be a lot of people choices ,but is his ego to big ?,does he have a t present a sugar daddy that will give him 200million ? ferguson likes grafters and honourable working class guys ......you would never rule out somebody like david moyes who S.A.F tried to get as no2 before steve mclaren . at the time David Moyes was manager at preston. Then you have ex player like mark hughes .....erm city for a short spell or united for a long time ? for me i know who ever went in probably will never do what the great man has achieved ,infact all of football will never see the likes of S.A.F again kav
